Coping With the Loss of a Loved One

"The death of a loved one is one of the most devastating experiences a human can  face. At times, the loss may seem unbearable.

Have you lost a loved one - whether a child, a spouse, a sibling, a parent, or a close friend? How can you cope with your sorrow?"

Do Humans Become Angels When They Die?

Some people take comfort in their belief that when their loved ones die, they become angels. Some religious leaders also try to comfort parents who have lost their baby with these words, “God wanted another angel, and He took your little baby to be with him. Now her soul flutters around the Almighty’s throne.”

Questions like the following might arise:

Are such words truly comforting or they only make people blame God and take away their faith in him?

More importantly, is such teaching true?

What does God's Word, the Bible, teach about this?

Who really are the angels?

What happens at death?

What Is Your Life Worth?

“Since man is made in the image of God, then the taking of a man’s life is the destruction of the most precious and the most holy thing in the world.”—The Plain Man’s Guide to Ethics, by William Barclay.

Sadly, many people don't realize how precious life is, which is one reason why some snuff out life without compunction at all while others just waste their lives in harmful activities.

Millions of people also feel totally worthless and desperate - that no one really cares whether they live or die. Because of wars, injustices, the ravages of draught, famine, disease, bereavement and countless other things that plague mankind, they wonder if life is worth living at all.

The wise King Solomon also observed concerning life in this world:

"All things are wearisome; no one is able to speak of it. The eye is not satisfied at seeing, neither is the ear filled from hearing....I saw all the works that were done under the sun, and, look! everything was vanity and a striving after wind." (Ecclesiastes 1:8,14)

In view of the aforementioned situations, it is vital to ask the question

How precious is our life?

If a Man Dies, Can He Live Again?

All of us feel the pain of losing a loved one. If possible, we want to spend our lifetime together with the ones we truly love. But then, man's worst enemy, death, keeps on ruthlessly devouring anyone in its path. But its victory is short-lived. Soon, it will be stripped of power over mankind.

We will all be freed from its grip, and we will be able to say, "Death, where is your sting?" In the link below, we will find the answer to the question, If a man dies, can he live again? It will tell us what hope there is for the dead ones, and how those who are alive will also benefit from such knowledge.
